A few places I am now in love with!!!

I found some great websites that have wonderful prices and are located right here in the DFW area. How lucky is that?

Now we have decided to pull up the carpet in our living and family room and lay down hardwood ply wood. Yes you heard it right. Mainly because the price when done will be roughly around 300 for almost 700 sq ft. However if you are not as bold or cost conscious as us there are a few sites you really need to check out these websites. They have very good quality products including hand-scraped hardwood and unheard of prices.

Save 50% or more on all different types of Flooring. If you are in DFW they are located in Garland, Texas and you can pick up to save on shipping/delivery.

Go visit www.builddirect.com and tell em Andi sent you! They have awesome prices and everything you need to install.

Until next time stay crafty!

I seriously can't stand the space above the cabinets. In our tiny kitchen its a bunch of wasted space that we can't use. So we started to brainstorm as to what to do to add storage to the kitchen and make it more functional. So we decided to do something a little crazy.

We moved the cabinets up all the way to the ceiling. It was a simple project less than a day and it made the kitchen seem a lot bigger. Plus it added much needed storage underneath when we built shelves underneath.

Step one we removed the microwave from the mounting and sat it on the floor. Be careful!!!
Note. If you have tile around the microwave it might be caulked in. Ours was we needed to cut the caulk out. Carefully pull you don't want to damage the wall.

B cut the caulk around the cabinets as well and located the screws going into the studs. We removed them until the cabinets were totally free from the wall and structure.

The cabinet above the microwave could not be moved because it housed our vent but the larger units easily screwed back into the other unit. He used the original pilot holes.

One thing we did that I think I would redo if we could is we didn't leave enough space on top to put the molding back on. If I could go back in time I would have left a two inch gap and staggered the bottom of the cabinets in order to keep the beautiful trim.

Repeat the process until you have them all moved where you want them. You will be surprised how easy this is to do.

Another picture of getting the others up. Look how much space is underneath. WOW now we can use it.

More pictures coming in part two! Stay tuned.
Oh my God I am seriously thrilled I have found some awesome sites to save on all my crafting needs. I need a lot. So I scoured the web to find the best sites to help my fellow crafters.

I love for things to look expensive but be very cheap! I love to get more bang for my buck and strive to do that in every project.

I will be posting these little by little over time by project but believe me it will be worth following.
So my latest obsession is apothecary jars and other glass jars.
They are so versatile and can be used for almost anything.

picture is not mine but borrowed from pinterest all rights reserved.

You have two choices you can repurpose jars: Jelly, pickles, etc. or you can buy premade ones.
I will be posting projects that I put together but I want to aquaint my readers to www.save-on-crafts.com a great site that has all your crafting needs. This is just the place to start I will be adding much more.

Until next time,

Stay crafty
